Reporting Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect

Required for all UW employees and volunteers

Estimated time to complete: 20 minutes

Provides an overview of EO 56 Reporting Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect, including definitions of child abuse and how to make a report.

Promoting Safe Interactions with Youth

Required for all UW youth program authorized personnel

Estimated time to complete: 25 minutes

Provides information to UW employees and volunteers who interact with youth on topics of safe communication, physical contact, and supervision.

Youth Protection for Youth Program Leaders online course

Required for all new youth program directors 

Must be completed within 90 days from starting as a program director

Estimated time to complete: 90 minutes, may be completed in parts

This course will introduce new program leaders to University youth protection requirements, roles and responsibilities for meeting requirements, best practices, and resources available to support you in your role.

Open to all who wish to explore concepts of youth protection in a youth program setting

Youth Protection for Youth Program Leaders, Part 2

This course is 2 hours on zoom (synchronous)

This synchronous course will provide you with an opportunity to dive deeper into implementation of University requirements and the concepts that define them, with other youth program leaders. The session includes interactive Q&A, case studies, and small group discussion.
